Common questions

Does it work with my existing POS system?

The Starter and Growth tiers send orders to your kitchen via WhatsApp Business — compatible with any setup, no new hardware. The Signature tier includes custom POS integration (we'll assess your system on the demo call). Most UAE restaurants using Revel, Lightspeed, or local systems can be connected within the setup window.

What if my customer speaks Arabic?

The agent detects the language at the start of the call and switches automatically. On the Growth and Signature tiers, the agent is fully fluent in Modern Standard Arabic and Gulf dialect variants. On the Starter tier, Arabic and English are both supported. Your customer never needs to be asked to "press 1 for English."

How does payment work?

After the call, the customer receives a WhatsApp message with a secure payment link (Stripe or Telr, whichever you prefer). They pay by card or Apple Pay. Funds go directly to your account — KU Voice takes no percentage. Cash-on-delivery is also supported (the agent records the preference and your driver collects as normal).

Do I need to change my existing phone number?

No. KU Voice provides a new UAE number that you advertise as your "call to order" line (ideal for your Instagram bio, website, and packaging stickers). Your existing number stays as-is for general enquiries. Many restaurants run both in parallel.

What happens if the AI can't understand an order?

If the agent encounters an ambiguous item or a highly unusual request, it politely asks the customer to repeat or clarify — exactly as a human staff member would. In the rare case of a genuine escalation, the call can be flagged for a callback from your team within minutes. Our agents handle 95%+ of orders fully autonomously.

How long does setup take?

3 business days from sign-off. Day 1: we configure your menu and agent. Day 2: you test and approve. Day 3: we connect your WhatsApp Business and payment links. You're live and taking orders by Day 3 evening.

Do I have to stop using Talabat / Deliveroo?

Absolutely not. KU Voice is an additional direct-order channel, not a replacement. You keep your platform listings — they're still valuable for discovery. KU Voice captures the customers who already know you and would rather order direct (avoiding the platform delivery fee they also pay).

Is my menu data secure?

Yes. Your menu is stored privately within your agent configuration, accessible only to your account. We don't share, sell, or use your menu data for any other purpose. All call recordings are processed by enterprise-grade AI providers (Retell AI + ElevenLabs) under standard data processor agreements.

What's the minimum commitment?

Month-to-month — no annual lock-in required. We offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee: if KU Voice doesn't generate enough direct orders to recover its own monthly fee within 30 days, we refund month 1 in full. After that, you continue only if it's working.

We're a cloud kitchen — does this work for us?

Yes, and cloud kitchens arguably benefit the most. You're 100% platform-dependent right now — some operators report Talabat taking close to 35–40% including fees.
